She wanted to finish their last meet properly as she want to. The first story revolves around a woman who wants to go back in time to see her boyfriend who went to the other country. In the book there are four interrelated storylines that make up the novel’s four sections centre on the various customers who come to the café to go back in time. If they break any of the rules they have to face consequences of that. They also have to follow some rules in order to travel to the time. They can only go back in time, and they have to come back to the present before their coffee gets cold. The action takes place in a modest café in Tokyo named “Funiculi Funicula” where customers can travel across time with a few limitations. The English book was translated by Geoffrey Trousselot.
